It’s Called Football: January 14, 2009
Will there be an MLS lockout? Should Canada take back Jonathan de Guzman? Why was Chicago left off the list of host cities in the USA World Cup bid? We address these questions, and we speak to the CBC’s John Molinaro about Toronto FC and this summer’s big tournament… plus, the curious case of Stuart Holden. Give it a listen, won’t you?

I would let Jonathan come back in a second. For a guy that has lived in Holland since he was about 12 there is nothing wrong with wanting to play for there national team that is in almost every world up and Euro..(i think they missed 2002)…
This is a guy we need badly… we are really missing a creative mid-fielder, well and a striker, and a keeper, I digress, we are missing a lot but lets take what we can get.
It also is not like he is saying these things after we qualified for a WC and he just wants to play in that. There are a ton of game with no glory at all before we get to a WC and if he is willing to play those games with us then by all means, sign him up.
